I have been in healthcare for over 25 years,  I started in 1988 in a small rural health clinic as an insurance clerk in Lamesa, Texas. After a few years I became the Clinic Manager and managed the day to day operations at the clinic. This is when I fell in love with the social work aspect of healthcare. I soon was hired by the local hospital as a case manager and social worker. I received an associates degree as a Medical Social Worker from Texas Tech Health Science Center in Lubbock Texas in 1991. In 1998 we moved to the Hill Country and I worked for the Fredericksburg Clinic from 1998 as clinic manager until April of 2011 when I joined Kerrville Pediatrics.

I became a Certified Medical Manager (CMM) in 2012. I am a member of PAHCOM ( Professional Association of Healthcare Office Managers) I also am certified in Critical Incident Stress Management.

I have been married for over 40 years to David and I think we’re going to make it. My hobbies are camping, collecting cookbooks and spending time with my 4 grandchildren. I have loved working with this staff and getting to hold new babies and getting to play sometimes with all the kids in the lobby. Yes, it is a little noisy around my office but I love to hear all the little chatter coming down my hall!!
